CLASS TYPES

Whether you’re brand new to yoga or looking to deepen your practice, our diverse classes are designed to meet you where you are. Each style offers something different, but all share the same goal: to help you feel better in your body, calmer in your mind, and stronger in your spirit.

Hot26

Hot26 is a classic 26-posture sequence practiced in a heated room (102–104° with 40% humidity). The warmth allows your body to open safely, your muscles to stretch more deeply, and your mind to settle into the rhythm of the practice.

This class is both slow and meditative yet deeply challenging. It’s designed for beginners as well as seasoned yogis, with every posture building strength, flexibility, and focus. Hot26 is as much a mental journey as it is physical, inviting you to find stillness in the heat and perseverance through the challenge.

Sweat becomes part of the healing process, helping your body recover from the stress and strain of daily life. Students leave class not only lighter and more energized, but with a unique sense of clarity and renewal that no other practice compares to.

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa is all about linking breath with movement, creating a smooth flow from one pose to the next. Practiced in a warm room (around 80°), this class allows your body to move safely and comfortably, building heat from the inside out.

The sequences are medium paced giving you enough time to breathe, focus, and feel each posture while still keeping a steady rhythm that feels like a moving meditation. Vinyasa balances strength and flexibility with mindfulness, making it both energizing and calming.

You’ll leave class feeling grounded, refreshed, and fully present — with just the right amount of sweat and flow to carry you into the rest of your day.

Meditation

Take a pause from the business of life and settle into stillness. In this class, you’ll relax in a cozy setup with pillows, blankets, and bolsters as you’re guided through simple techniques to calm the mind and restore balance.

Meditation is for everyone, no experience needed. Whether you’re brand new or already practice regularly, you’ll leave feeling peaceful, refreshed, and a little lighter in spirit. Over time, you’ll discover just how powerful regular meditation can be for clarity, focus, and inner calm.

Buti Yoga

Buti Yoga is a playful, high-energy class that combines dynamic yoga flows with dance-inspired movement and core conditioning. It’s designed to free both body and mind, helping you let go of stress and reconnect with your inner strength.

Set to upbeat music, Buti is about movement, joy, and self-expression. You don’t need dance experience just an open mind and a willingness to move. Students leave feeling empowered, sweaty, and full of positive energy.

Melt

Melt was created by Carol Ibex, founder of Foundations Island Yoga on Kent Island, and has quickly become a student favorite. Practiced in a warm room (around 95°), Melt is a lively fusion of yoga traditions, blending elements of Hot26, Vinyasa, Yin, Iyengar, and Ashtanga, but with its own unique, faster-paced flow.

Unlike meditative or slow practices, Melt feels more like a celebration. The warmth helps you move safely and deeply, while the upbeat sequencing and creative energy make it feel almost like a party on your mat.

Every class is fresh and dynamic, giving you space to explore, challenge yourself, and most importantly, have fun. Students leave feeling accomplished, energized, and excited to come back because no two Melt classes are ever quite the same.

Yoga Sculpt

Yoga Sculpt is a dynamic 45-minute class that combines yoga with strength training and mindful movement. Some days the energy is upbeat with cardio-inspired sequences; other days it’s slower and more intentional, with a focus on control and precision. The mix keeps your body guessing and your practice fresh.

Using light weights and body resistance, you’ll build strength, stability, and endurance while staying rooted in the breath and flow of yoga. The movements are designed to tone, lengthen, and sculpt giving you a strong yet balanced workout that leaves you feeling empowered.

Set to great music, this class is fun, challenging, and never the same twice. You’ll leave feeling energized, strong, and accomplished.

Yin Yoga

In Yin, poses are supported with props and held for several minutes, giving your body time to stretch deep into muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues. It’s slow, gentle, and incredibly restorative.

This is the perfect class for unwinding, releasing stress, and giving yourself the gift of stillness. Students often leave with a lasting sense of peace and relaxation that carries into the rest of their day.

At Rising Tides Yoga, our mission is to provide a safe, uplifting community where yoga serves as a foundation for personal evolution and collective empowerment. Rooted in tradition yet welcoming to all, we guide our students through mindful movement, breath work, and spiritual exploration to foster balance and well-being.

Meet the Founder

Ashley Smith, Founder & Lead Instructor

When Ashley first walked into a yoga class, she didn’t expect it to change her life. At the time, she was a mom of two, carrying extra weight, battling anxiety, and feeling disconnected from herself. She wasn’t sure yoga was “for her” — but something about the practice stuck.

Week by week, class by class, yoga began to shift things. The heat and discipline of the practice challenged her physically. The breath work gave her tools to quiet her mind. The community gave her support and encouragement. Over time, the changes became undeniable: she grew stronger, shed more than 50 pounds, and eventually let go of the anxiety medications she had relied on for years.

But the biggest transformation wasn’t physical. Yoga helped Ashley discover patience, presence, and peace in a way she had never known. It gave her the confidence to step fully into herself — not just as a mom or a professional, but as someone living with joy, balance, and purpose.

Inspired by her own journey, Ashley trained as a yoga instructor and followed a new calling: to create a studio where others could experience the same kind of healing and empowerment. That vision became Rising Tides Yoga — a welcoming community built on the belief that a rising tide lifts all ships.

Today, Ashley teaches with compassion, inclusivity, and encouragement, blending mindful movement, alignment, and breathwork into every class. Her mission is simple: to remind students that yoga is for everybody — and that by showing up, even on the hardest days, transformation is always possible.
